CHOICER VOICER

Privacy

Voice packs always stay on your device. Solo recording and mixing are local; multiplayer temporarily shares player voice takes with the room. There is no account.

Your recordings

Recording starts only when you press record and stops when you stop it. In solo mode, takes stay in the page. Mixing and video export run locally on your device.

In multiplayer, each take you record is uploaded temporarily so the other players in that room can receive it and render the complete dub locally. Room recordings expire with the room, normally within six hours.

Files you save with Export video are written straight to your own downloads. Where they go afterwards is up to you.

Pack Maker files

Videos, subtitle files, and backing tracks selected in the Pack Maker are processed in the browser and are not uploaded. The generated pack ZIP is written directly to your downloads and the editor does not retain the source files after you close or reload the page.

Multiplayer rooms

The room service receives the room code, player name, ready and progress state, the ZIP's SHA-256 fingerprint, and voice takes recorded for that room. It does not receive the ZIP, pack video, images, original dialogue, or backing track. The fingerprint only checks whether players selected the exact same ZIP.

Room data and shared takes expire automatically. Take downloads require the room session created when a player joins.

Feedback

When you send feedback, this website stores the feedback type, your message, any email address you choose to provide, the page you sent it from, your browser's user-agent and language, and the submission time. Voice packs, recordings, and exported files are not attached.

An hourly one-way identifier derived from request and browser information limits repeated submissions without storing the raw IP address in the feedback record. Feedback may be kept while it remains useful for investigating problems, improving the website, or replying to you.

Microphone access

The studio asks your browser for microphone permission when you choose an input or start recording. The browser controls that permission, not the site, and you can withdraw it at any time in your browser's site settings. Use Choose mic to switch inputs. If access was blocked, allow it in your browser's site settings first. Without permission, everything except recording still works.

What is stored on your device

Local storage
Which pack you last had loaded, and whether you have seen the tutorial. Two small values, no personal data.
Browser database
Packs you import are unpacked and kept in your browser's own storage so they reappear on the tape rack next visit.
Storage permission
The studio may ask your browser to keep that storage from being evicted automatically, so an imported pack is not silently dropped.
Cookies
Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga to distinguish browsers and measure site usage.

Imported packs and Studio preferences remain in your browser. Multiplayer room state and voice takes are the limited exception described above. None of those files or recordings are sent to Google Analytics.

Removing stored data

Third parties

The site has no advertising scripts. It uses the following third-party services:

Whoever hosts this site may also keep standard server access logs, which typically record IP addresses and requested URLs. That is a function of the hosting, not of the studio.

Children

The studio is not aimed at children, and community voice packs frequently contain strong language. See the voice packs page for how packs work.

Changes

If what the studio stores or sends changes, this page changes with it. It was last reviewed in August 2026.
