What Choicer Voicer is
Choicer Voicer is a voice-over game you play in a browser tab. You pick a clip, listen to how the original line is delivered, then record your own version over it. When every line in the pack has a take, the studio stitches your recordings back over the scene so you can watch the whole dub end to end.
There is nothing to install and no account to create. Play solo on one device, pass one laptop around, or create a multiplayer room where each friend imports the same pack ZIP and records assigned lines.
How it works
- Pick a pack. Import a community pack ZIP, or build one from your own video with the Pack Maker.
- Hear the clip. Play the original line so you can catch the timing and delivery.
- Record your take. Press record and perform the line. Retry as many times as you want.
- Check the waveform. Your take is drawn over the original so you can see where you drifted early or late.
- Watch the dub. Once every line has a take, play the finished dub with the original backing track, then export the video.

Voice packs and dub packs
A pack is a folder of clips: each line has an audio file, a still image or video frame, and a text file with the line itself. Packs may also carry a backing track, so music and effects keep playing underneath while your voice replaces the dialogue.
The studio starts empty. Community packs are published on GameBanana, or you can turn a video into a compatible ZIP with the browser-based Pack Maker.

Your microphone and your recordings
The studio needs microphone permission to record, and browsers only grant that over HTTPS. Use Choose mic to select a different input. If permission was blocked, allow microphone access in your browser's site settings first.
Solo recordings stay in your browser. In multiplayer, your voice takes are shared temporarily with that room so every player can render the same final dub. Voice pack ZIPs and their video, images, and original audio are never uploaded.
Browser support
Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari all work, on desktop and on mobile. A few notes worth knowing:
- The page must be served over HTTPS, or microphone access is blocked.
- Private and incognito windows sometimes refuse local storage, so imported packs may not persist.
- Packs with OGV video are decoded in JavaScript where the browser lacks native support, which is slower on older phones.
- Headphones are worth using — open speakers bleed the original audio into your take.
Questions people ask
Is Choicer Voicer free?
Yes. The studio is free to use, with no account and no trial.
Do I need to download anything?
No software installation is needed. The Studio and Pack Maker run in the browser; the only files you handle are the pack ZIPs you import or generate, and any finished video you export.
Are my recordings uploaded?
Not in solo mode. Multiplayer temporarily shares your recorded takes with the room; the voice pack itself always stays on your device.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Create a room, share its code, and have everyone import the exact same pack ZIP. The Studio checks the ZIP locally before assigning lines.
Can I make my own pack?
Yes. Open the Pack Maker, choose a video, mark and caption each line, then generate a ZIP that imports directly into the Studio.
